Overview
The SVM-21E is a battery-powered, threaded M-Bus smart valve that gives utilities and district cooling operators remote open/close control over conductive-liquid and chilled-water lines without sending a technician to site. Built for prepaid and AMI programs, it executes OPEN/CLOSE commands over wired M-Bus and reports both valve-operation and M-Bus communication errors back to the master for revenue protection and fault visibility.
Engineered for high-condensation chilled-water duty, the SVM-21E pairs an IP68-rated motor with additional sealing and an IP68 brass housing, so it holds up in moisture-heavy plant rooms and submerged installations. It operates across an ambient range of -25 to 65 °C and an operating-medium range of 4 to 90 °C, with a manual override isolation function for on-site intervention.
Available from DN15 to DN40 and compatible with all M-Bus master systems, the valve is rated to PN 16 as standard (PN 20 and PN 25 optional) and runs on a battery with a lifetime of up to 16 years, keeping field maintenance and total cost of ownership low across large meter populations.
