About this product

Overview

The M-Bus Master is a DIN-rail M-Bus master and level converter for utilities, district cooling operators, property and facilities managers, and OEMs who need to connect wired meters to standard serial systems. It converts M-Bus signals to RS232/RS485 and back, so heat, cooling, water, and energy meters can be polled by existing data concentrators, loggers, and AMR software.

A single unit supports up to 250 M-Bus devices, with automatic adjustment to M-Bus load and automatic direction control on the RS485 side. Built-in short-circuit protection with a configurable reaction and recovery time keeps the bus stable when a fault occurs on a long meter loop.

Mains-powered at 90-250V and rated for wide operating temperatures, it installs on a standard DIN rail inside metering cabinets and panels for fixed-network and bus-based meter reading.
