Overview

The Hydramag is a battery-powered electromagnetic flow meter for conductive liquids, engineered for water utilities, district cooling, and industrial process lines that need accurate bidirectional measurement without a permanent power feed. With no moving parts in the flow path and negligible pressure loss, it delivers maintenance-light metering across a wide turndown.

It measures across DN 10 to DN 200 with a bidirectional flow range of 0.2 to 12 m/s (1:60 turndown) and an accuracy of 1% from 1 to 10 m/s, improvable to 0.5% on request, on fluids with a minimum conductivity of 50 µS/cm. Empty-pipe detection and grounding/detection electrodes are provided across the full DN range, with electrode options in CrNi steel, Hastelloy C4, Titanium, and Tantalum to match the medium.

Power comes from a replaceable lithium battery pack or an external 12 V DC supply (max. 500 mA), and outputs include pulse, RS485, and UART via M12 connectors with Micro SD archiving. The sensor is rated IP67/IP68, handles media up to 150 °C (depending on lining and design), and offers process connections in flanged DIN (EN 1092), threaded (EN 10226-1), and food-grade fittings.
